The pelmatojulus ligulatus is a beautiful, yellow-banded millipede; this is a colorful beginner species.

Behavior & Care
  • Nocturnal: Rarely seen during the day and digs frequently.
  • Do not disturb: Never dig up a millipede; they may be in the middle of a vulnerable molt.
  • Handling: This species is reasonably easy to handle. Under stress, they may secrete a patchy defense substance.
